I am a post-doctoral research associate at the University of Sheffield, ABRG group Adaptive Behaviour Research Group. My research is part of the EU Framework 6 Project ICEA: Integrating Cognition Emotion and Autonomy. As part of the ICEA project I am currently developing an integrated model of rat brain areas involved in forraging behaviour which combines models of the Amygdalal, Basal Ganglia and Hippocampus that are developed by the ICEA consortium. A demo video of the simulated rat robot performing a differentially rewarded plus-maze task is available here . For more information about my research interests, past work and publications, see my personal web-pages at A Koene personal web-pages.
